Helene Blue Musique Ltd., founded in 1995, is a full-service independent music publishing company, catering to all aspects of the entertainment industry.  Clients include seasoned composers Rod McKuen, Ned Washington, Paul Winter, Harold Rome, Jim Wann, Woody Harris, Ira Antelis, Paul Hampton, Clark Gesner and Arthur Siegel; jazz greats Oscar Peterson, Stan Getz, Chico O’Farrill, Coleman Hawkins, Earl Hines, Yusef Lateef; emerging composers Barry Ennis, Ned Ginsburg, Phil Gammage, Michael Gurley, Len Monachello, Ben Scheuer, John Forte and Jeffrey Biegel; and licensing clients: The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, 101 Productions, ABC Television and The Franklin Mint.

Helene Blue, President of Helene Blue Musique Ltd., began her industry career at London Records, where she worked with many great artists, from the Rolling Stones and Van Morrison to Luciano Pavarotti and Sir Georg Solti. After several years at London, she moved into the publishing arena, representing diverse catalogs, including the compositions of Sergei Rachmaninov, Leroy Anderson, Mitchell Parish, Fats Waller, and Duke Ellington at Belwin-Mills Publishing Corp., and later Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, and Benny Goodman at Arc Music Group.

When she got a call to represent the publishing catalogs of Paul McCartney as the first worldwide General Manager of MPL Music Publishing, she proudly represented the catalogs of McCartney, Buddy Holly, Jerry Herman, Frank Loesser, Hoagy Carmichael, Harold Arlen, Jack Lawrence, Bessie Smith, and other 20th century greats.

Helene Blue is also active on the Boards of Directors of the National Music Publishers’ Association, Merkin Concert Hall and the Copyright Society of the USA, where she serves as Honorary Trustee.  She is a founding member of the New York chapter of the Association of Independent Music Publishers, serving on its Board of Directors. Helene was the first recipient of AIMP’s INDIE AWARD, presented December 8th, 1998. The Award was given in recognition of her commitment to music publishing and her spirit of generosity toward her colleagues. Helene has also received the Women In Music TOUCHSTONE AWARD in recognition of her service to the music publishing industry.
